Both iptraf (buster) and iptraf-ng (bullseye) packages were installed.
Resolution: remove obsolete packages were purged (gcc-8-base, openssh-blacklist, openssh-blacklist-extra, multiarch-support, lynx-cur, iptraf, libxtables10, libreadline5, libmpfr4, liblvm2cmd2.02, liblogging-stdlog0, libgdbm3, libffi6, libcryptsetup4, heirloom-mailx, gcc-4.9-base, libreadline7)

I kept the following packages:
